Meet Edmund Loo – Founder & CEO at SimpliSolar | Clean Energy & Sustainability Leader

With more than 15 years of experience in Malaysia’s solar and clean energy industry, Edmund Loo is an entrepreneur and business leader dedicated to accelerating the transition toward sustainable energy. As the founder and CEO of LeveragEdge Sdn. Bhd., the company behind the SimpliSolar brand, he has built the business from a startup into a nationally trusted solar PV and energy efficiency service provider.

Under his leadership, SimpliSolar has delivered more than 650 projects nationwide, with over 80 MWp designed and more than 30 MWp installed. As an engineering-led clean energy solutions company, it delivers integrated solar PV, battery storage, energy efficiency and energy management solutions for commercial, industrial and residential customers.

Edmund combines technical expertise with strong commercial and strategic leadership, driving the company’s growth through innovation, strategic partnerships, digitalisation, governance, and people development. His vision includes expanding across Southeast Asia, strengthening BESS-driven solutions, and positioning the organisation for IPO readiness while creating measurable environmental impact.

With more than 150,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided and a strong focus on ESG, safety, customer retention, and long-term performance, Edmund continues to champion clean energy solutions that create value for businesses, communities, and the planet. He holds an MBA from the University of Southampton and brings a forward-thinking approach to Malaysia’s evolving energy transition.
