With more than 24 years of experience in critical electrical infrastructure, power systems, and engineering leadership, Ir. Ts. Noor Azman Alias is a highly accomplished engineering professional whose career spans Malaysia’s national transmission grid, renewable energy, power generation, industrial developments, and hyperscale datacentres. His expertise combines deep technical capability with strategic leadership in environments where reliability, resilience, and operational continuity are critical.

Currently serving as Specialist (Critical Environment – Electrical) at AirTrunk, Azman supports the operation and reliability of hyperscale datacentre infrastructure in Malaysia. His career journey has progressed from safeguarding Extra High Voltage transmission networks to leading complex engineering and operational initiatives across the energy sector and mission-critical datacentre environments.

Azman brings end-to-end expertise across Protection & Control, HV Operations, Testing & Commissioning, Asset Reliability, Fault Investigation, Operational Readiness, Regulatory Compliance, and strategic engineering management. He has successfully led Extra High Voltage systems up to 500kV and contributed to transmission assets achieving 99.99% system reliability, while supporting major utility, renewable energy, industrial, and hyperscale infrastructure projects.

His sustained performance has been recognised through multiple President’s Awards and numerous Vice President Performance Awards at Tenaga Nasional Berhad, alongside recognition within the hyperscale datacentre industry. He is a 500kV Electrical Competent Engineer, Professional Engineer (PEPC), ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE), Professional Technologist (Ts.), and Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP).

From protecting Malaysia’s national power infrastructure to enabling the critical electrical systems supporting cloud and AI platforms, Azman continues to demonstrate how engineering excellence can create resilient infrastructure and enable sustainable economic growth.
