With over two decades of impactful experience in healthcare innovation, architecture, and leadership, Amr Metwally has transformed the landscape of healthcare design and digital transformation across the Middle East. His journey began as an architect, contributing to iconic healthcare projects such as Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC)—a phase that earned him international design awards and multiple nominations as Architect of the Year in the Middle East, including recognition at the House of Lords in London.


Amr’s leadership extended to establishing Itqan Clinical Simulation & Innovation Center, a key project within a USD 2.4 billion healthcare portfolio at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). His expertise spans program portfolio management, digital transformation, healthcare innovation, and evidence-based design—always guided by a mission to create safer, smarter healthcare environments. As a mentor under Digital Tasmu (Ministry of Communication and Information Technology), he continues to nurture innovation and future leadership in HealthTech.


A global keynote speaker, author, and active contributor to national boards and committees, Amr combines executive insight with entrepreneurial drive. Holding an Executive MBA from HEC Paris and serving on its EMBA selection committee, he continues to shape the next generation of visionary leaders.


Beyond his professional success, Amr’s heart lies in humanitarian service—designing hospitals and leading charitable healthcare initiatives in underserved and war-affected regions, embodying his deep commitment to purpose-driven innovation.
